Montredon (Monte Rotondo) is an ancient Gallo-Roman farmhouse. Porcius, translated Poursan, a Gallo-Roman, built his Roman estate (villa) at Montredon, on the Fajolles estate itself. It was destroyed by the barbarian invasions of the third and fifth centuries. Later, in Carolingian times, the owner was a descendant of Charles Magne’s valiant men: Gontald. In 932, he donated his property to Abon the bishop, and the estate took the name Santi Martini de Porciani.
